5th Annual Bug Bash keeps growing!
Ahhh, everyone loves summer right? The warm days to ride, the cool evenings to ride, the open weekends....to ride, right? Well this year we had nothing but perfection in Dayton for the 5th annual Bug Bash. As always a variety of activities, meet and greets, food and more became the focus of BBO'ers from as far east as New York, and as far north as Minnesota. Totaling in at nearly 40 bikes, and over 50 attendees, this truly has become the pinnacle of the year for BBO members.
Hooligans took over in the later afternoon with the ever popular 'bike swap.' Now, anyone will tell you that BBO members are the most caring people you'll ever find, however given Reflex scooters, Vespas, F4i's and more..we WILL draw the local police into any neighborhood gathering.
I know personally, that I can't wait for year number six. I know it's been a little while, but you can read all about it here, and see the hundreds of pictures available.
Flying high at 11,000 feet!
June 2008 has come and gone, but the West Side Rally at the Potato Ranch will not soon be forgotten. Riders from near and far gathered in Durango, CO to meet, greet, and eat while MsPotatoPotatoHead opened up her home [and yard] in hospitality for this great event. Riding treacherous mountain roads with 2,000 foot drop offs really does let one put life in perspective and allows you to focus on the road. Easy to do when death is just feet away.
Great food was planned throughout the event and we were catered to with a fantastic brisket dinner on Saturday night. What follows a great dinner? Alcohol. What follows alcohol? Fire. Yes, we had ourselves a fantastic sky-high bonfire complete with drunken ATV'ing and other shenanigans. [Note BBO does not condone any sort of vehicle use during the consumption of alcohol]
Riders from around the country as far as New York and Minnesota gathered into Durango for this annual event, and more are sure to come. Put it on your calendar next year, this is definitely not one to miss. Read all about it here.
